One Is Just Around the Corner!

I should be in bed right now, but I feel bad for not posting for awhile! Oh my Harper is almost one! She is walking around, not full time though. Her little face is changing and she is looking older.  

 

First Grade only has 16 gets ups left till summer! I’m actually sad this year to see it end. Last year I was wrapped up in having a baby I never really got sad to end the year. This year is different. I will miss my kiddos and it’s crazy I will only get to have them 16 more days!

Easter

For Easter we had breakfast with my parents at our house. After that we went to church together at Cedar Ridge in Coweta. Next we went to my in laws for lunch, and an Easter Egg Hunt. Harper had fun and crawled around chasing after rolling eggs. She wore a smocked dress that we got from a sweet family in Stilwell. My mom made her bow, which I loved. I thought she looked beautiful! It's funny now how I think more about what she is going to wear, rather than what I am going to wear! Overall we had a good day. I think Harper enjoyed her first Easter!

What a difference a year makes!

First of all if you prayed for us last year THANK YOU!!!!

Last year at this time I was just informed that my school would be making cuts, and I would not have a job next year. Jacob was driving a school bus looking for full time work. Harper was due in about 2 months.

I was freaking out! God is so good though, and totally took care of us!

 

A week after Harper was born Jacob got hired at QT. (a really good company to work for) About 3 weeks after Harper was born I got rehired at my same school, only this time in first grade!

 

About a month after that we started looking for a house. Our lease was due at the end of the summer and after 5 years of apartment living I was ready to own a home! We got approved and started the building process in August.

Thank-you from the bottom of my heart for your prayers! Please let me know if I can pray for you in anyway.

 

God is so good.

Harper is 9 months old!

Holy cow this girl is growing up fast!

She weighs 16lbs and some oz.24th percentile and I forgot the length, but I know it’s in the 90th percentile. Her head is in the 50th percentile.

She is crawling like crazy and pulling up on things. She will walk around things and stand for just a second on her own.

She says mama, dada. nana. baba.

Sometimes she’ll wave… it’s hit and miss.

She is eating finger foods now. This is something that should have been happening long ago…oops! So, now thanks to her mom of the year she is behind in her fine motor skills. We are working on getting that pincher grasp down!

She loves to UNfold laundry. Follow me around the house. Pull up on things. Play with the remotes and Iphone. She loves these little wind up bugs in the bathtub.

Most of the time she sleeps through the night, every now and then she will have a rough night.

She has 4 teeth on bottom and 2 on top.

Size 2/3 diapers and wears 6-9 month clothes.

I love my little munchkin girl!

 

Brittany’s Sock Monkey Shower

Shannon (my sis in law) I threw my other sis in law Brittany a baby shower back in August. I really can’t take much credit for the way it turned out because my mil and gmil took over. But still I contributed!

 

I did however make the diaper cake!

Poor Munchkin

Harper got her first virus. It started out on Monday with her being clingy in the morning. When I went to pick her up from my in laws my mil said that Harper was not feeling good. I took her temp when we got home and it was 102! I was a little worried, but figured it was just a cold. A few hours later she threw up all over me. At that point I decided to take her to the doctor.

 

The doctor did a strep test, but it was negative. She said it was just a virus that will run it’s course. In the mean time Harper has been miserable! Coughing, sneezing, gagging. I feel so bad for her. I think and hope she is on the mends now. She slept good the past two nights and is currently taking a long nap right now. Here’s to hoping the end of her sickness is in sight!

Convertible Car Seats

Harper is about an inch from outgrowing her infant seat, so I figured it is time to start looking for her next seat. Britax seats are on sale right now, so I’m trying to decide quickly what to get. I am debating between the Britax Boulevard 70 or the Graco My Ride 65.

The Graco is about $100 cheaper and would give Harper more leg room in the long haul (I plan to keep her rear facing for awhile). The Britax is nicer quality with overall better reviews, but is that worth the price? If you already have one of these will you help a girl out! What did you get and why?
